A2 Elementary - Portuguese Language
This course will expose the student to the fundamentals of Brazilian Portuguese Language.
The students will learn basic vocabulary, verb conjugations and grammatical usage through workbook and listening exercises. The students will also learn about Brazilian culture through reading and listening exercises.
*The Elementary level comprises three stages: Elementary Level 1, Level 2 and Level3 (8 weeks each).
At the end of this level, you will be able to understand and make more
structured sentences; pose questions and reply in the present, past and future
tenses using regular and irregular verbs and using adequate vocabulary to
talk about the past and a range of themes.
To start in this level you will need to have completed the Beginners level, in this level you are at A1/A2.

Course Description
This course is designed to provide CPCE students with the language skills necessary to be able to communicate effectively, at the basic level with French speakers, and to develop a positive attitude toward cultures of the target language. The course facilitates language acquisition and cultural awareness through development of skills in the four (4) key competencies of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the target language within a context relevant to students.
This course is needed to create a foundation for students to function in another Foreign Language as well as create a foundation for further acquisition of the target language.
It is a blended online course that comprises ten (10) modules to be completed over the course of 13 weeks. Study will be largely self-directed, supplemented by one Face-to-Face or Online /Synchronous session per week via. Google Meet. Attendance is mandatory.
MLF261 Introduction to French Literature

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The aim of this course is to offer an introduction to French prose, poetry and drama. This is an intensive writing course, where Teacher Candidates read samples of the best and most renowned literary texts written in French and at the same time develop strategies to improve their formal (academic) writing, by articulating their opinions and interpreting the text read in class.
CONVSPN Conversational Spanish
This
course equips participants with the knowledge,skills and attitudes
required for their efficient and effective use the target language to
express basic everyday realities.
During the process they will also update their knowledge of some of the cultural practices, products and perspectives of the native speakers of the language.
