MLP112 2A  - Portuguese Language

This course will expose the student to the fundamentals of Brazilian Portuguese Language.

 The students will learn basic vocabulary, verb conjugations and grammatical usage through workbook and listening exercises. The students will also learn about Brazilian culture through reading and listening exercises.

 *The 2A level comprises three stages: Elementary Level 1, Level 2 and Level3.

At the end of this level, you will be able to understand and make more

structured sentences; pose questions and reply in the present, past and future

tenses using regular and irregular verbs and using adequate vocabulary to

talk about the past and a range of themes.

To start in this level you will need to have completed the Beginners level, in this level you are at A1/A2.

This course equips participants with the knowledge,skills and attitudes required for their efficient and effective use the target language to express basic everyday realities.

During the process they will also update their knowledge of some of the cultural practices, products and perspectives of the native speakers of the language.

PEDAGOGY FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD / PRIMARY TEACHERS

This course is part of the requirements for the preparation of competent teachers of Spanish at the early Childhood and Primary levels.

It provides for:

their acquisition of the relevant theoretical and pedagogical knowledge and

• their development of the skills and attitudes necessary for the successful preparation for and delivery of a programme oriented towards oral communication
