MLP112 1A - Portuguese Language
This course will expose the student to the fundamentals of Brazilian Portuguese Language.
The students will learn basic vocabulary, verb conjugations and grammatical usage through workbook and listening exercises. The students will also learn about Brazilian culture through reading and listening exercises.
At the end of this level, you will be able to understand and make more
structured sentences; pose questions and reply in the present, past and future
tenses using regular and irregular verbs and using adequate vocabulary to
talk about the past and a range of themes.
To start in this level you will need to have completed the Beginners level "Introduction to Portuguese, in this level you are at A1/A2.
MLP113-1B 1B Portuguese Language
Course Description
This course aims to advance students' conversational skills in Portuguese, building on the foundations laid in Portuguese Language 1A,2A. Students will engage in more complex and nuanced conversations, focusing on various themes relevant to Portuguese-speaking cultures. Emphasis will be placed on fluency, comprehension, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and accurately.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to carry out the following tasks in Portuguese:
Engage in detailed conversations on a wide range of topics with improved fluency and accuracy.
Understand and respond to complex spoken Portuguese in various contexts.
Use advanced grammatical structures and vocabulary in conversation.
